Common Ceiling Fan Repairs

Ceiling fans are an affordable way to keep yourself cool in the Texas heat, and with the temperatures rising it's easy to understand why you don’t want your fan to be defective. However, we understand that issues occur, so we have addressed a few of them below:

● Fan Will Not Turn On: Usually this is caused by a lack of power or electricity to the fan. First, check your circuit breaker to make sure it has not been tripped or turned off. If you do this and your fan still does not work, it could be a wiring issue or an internal defect.

● Wobbly Fan: Typically this is due to an improper installation, blade damage, a loose connection, or because the fan is of poor quality. You can try to check and tighten all connected parts to see if that fixes the issue.

● Flickering or non functioning light: First check the bulb and make sure it is working. If it still wont work, this could be the cause of a voltage fluctuation. In that case, we recommend contacting one of our electricians.

● Noise or humming: This can be caused by a multitude of things like loose screws, dimmer switches, a bad receiver, or if it is mounted directly into the ceiling. These are all things you may want to consider when analyzing.

Most electrical repairs can be addressed, but if you are looking to upgrade or install a new ceiling fan we can definitely help you do that too. Don’t get caught this summer in the sweltering heat. Instead, call (210) 899-2430 or contact us online today!
