San Antonio, TX – When electrical trucks from Mister Sparky roll up to the Paul Jolly Center for Pet Adoptions on Thursday morning, it won’t be to fix the electrical outlets. Those trucks will be filled with several months’ worth of pet food and supplies to help feed and take care of the animals at the San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA) Tuleta location.

“For months, our customers have been donating pet food and supplies instead of service fees, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We asked the San Antonio community to help us spark a change in our city, and they listened,” said Mister Sparky San Antonio Owner/Operator George Saldaña.

On September 29, the San Antonio City Council awarded operations of The Paul Jolly Center for Pet Adoptions to another organization, which will require San Antonio Pets Alive! to vacate the center at the end of October.

“We’re thrilled to have a member of the business community like Mister Sparky step up and use their business to help us during this transition,” said SAPA Marketing Manager Erika Mullins. “For us to be a no kill city, we need 8-10 foster families to sign up and accept animals per day, so any incentive we can give to encourage people to sign up is greatly appreciated.”

The supplies donated by Mister Sparky will be given to new foster families to help them get started. They will be available to new foster families on October 15 and 16 at the Paul Jolly Center during the San Antonio Pets Alive! Howl-o-ween Adoption Extravaganza.

WHEN: Thursday, October 13, 11 a.m.

WHERE: San Antonio Pets Alive! Paul Jolly Center For Pet Adoptions, 210 Tuleta Dr, San Antonio, TX, 78212

About San Antonio Pets Alive

San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs and cats in San Antonio.  The animals saved are unique in that they are rescued directly from the at risk population at San Antonio Animal Care Services (ACS). SAPA! is the last hope for these animals and we work hard to make sure that we don’t let them down. SAPA!’s life-saving programs include the parvo puppy ward, neonatal kitten nursery, and new transport program. Thousands of animals that otherwise have no other options are saved by these innovative programs. Once safe, these animals are cared for and adopted through foster and adoption programs.
