An electric vehicle’s ability to quickly recharge depends on two things: a home’s electrical supply and the EV charging unit used. EV chargers are broken down into three levels. Level one chargers are the slowest, while level three chargers are the fastest.

Level two chargers do their job faster but require an electrician for installation. These chargers need a dedicated 240-volt circuit to supply a current strong enough to charge an electric vehicle at a faster rate. Level 2 chargers can add approximately 70 miles of range for each hour of charging! These are the most popular options for home charging.
Level 3 EV chargers are incredibly fast but require an industrial supply of power, making them difficult for homeowners to install. These charging stations can recharge an electric vehicle’s battery to 80% in only 30 minutes. Level 3 chargers are not typically possible to install at home.

This review currently covers the initial diagnostic visit. We had the fortune of speaking with Tyler Cox today, and the whole visit was a positive experience. He called 30 minutes in advance during the window we scheduled to confirm, and arrived promptly. He was friendly, polite, and didn't mind our place was a mess as we are moving stuff around. He found the issue quickly and explained it to us so we understood the problem, and did some investigating and presented our options for fixing it. He went over all the steps and told us the process. When I asked questions he addressed everything while we kept a friendly and humorous rapport. He double-checked the power requirements that I would need. I appreciate that he spoke in plain terms and didn't brush off any questions. We booked the rest of the work for a future date. This review will be updated after the work is completed.

Huge thanks and compliments to Tyler Cox and apprentice Nate for replacing a ceiling fan/light fixture that was 14 feet up and also required splicing and lengthening of wires to accommodate a longer downrod. They were super nice, polite, careful, and professional. Tyler was training Nate and I was really impressed by his knowledge, patience and teaching skills, and Nate had a great attitude and was eager to help and learn. I enjoyed hanging out with them and watching the process, and learned a lot myself. Mike Pace, who came out earlier to do the estimate, was also very knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly.
