With the holidays underway, we'd like to recognize those who are giving back to their communities. This week, we are pleased to share the wonderful work that Mister Sparky of the Eastern Shore is doing this year!
It’s officially the season of giving and we’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on two owners that are going above and beyond for their community. Cherie and Jack Jester, along with the help of Assistant General Manager Leesa Kelly, are currently running their annual holiday fundraiser for their local Coalition Against Domestic Violence shelter. What began in 2014 as a drive for basic necessities, known as "Freedom Starter" kits, has since grown into a festive holiday effort culminating in a shop-a-thon for a number of toys, clothes, and other important items.
Now through December 12th, the Jesters are accepting monetary and gift donations at their Oak Hall location in order to meet their desired goal of $1,500. These funds will be used to pay for necessities and holiday gifts for the families who are being supported by the shelter, including gift cards, bicycles, TVs, clothes, and more. The Jesters have been involved with supporting the shelter for years, most recently providing essential cleaning and hygiene supplies for residents greatly impacted by COVID.
We love to see our owners giving back and are so proud of the Jesters for continuing these impactful efforts!
And, we are excited to share that Mister Sparky of the Eastern Shore's charity efforts have already been recognized! On November 14, 2020, the Shore Daily News reported on their 6th annual Holiday Cheer Drive.
