Sea Dogs Take Down the Flying Squirrels 09/17/2010

Mister Sparky was back at it on Saturday night mixing it up at the Sea Dogs Game. The Sea Dogs pulled off an impressive win in front of a crowd of almost 7,200. We had a great time! We met up with Ernie the starfish of C-Port Credit Union, and we had two fine young gentlemen, Jimmy Makowicki and Jake Gordon, representing Mister Sparky with the first pitch.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy on a service call a little while back and while I was at his home I learned he liked baseball. Jake Gordon was the winner of our “Contest to Throw Out the First Pitch.” The Gordon family has been a long time client of Mister Sparky and we were glad to see that they won the drawing. Both young men did a fabulous job, and I could not have asked for two better families to represent us on the field.

Also the National Guard was on hand and it gave us a chance to thank those who serve on our behalf. I must say I am proud to be an American and to live in the land of the free! Click Here to see pictures of the event

Mister Sparky Gets His Shot! 08/24/2010

What a big day! Mister Sparky got his chance to show off his skills at Hadlock field to see if he could break into the Red Sox organization. With the rash of injuries to the Sox franchise this year it was a perfect opportunity, and after all Ryan Kalish, former Sea Dog, got the call up the other day so players are on the move. Pulling a few strings and calling a few contacts got him his chance. As of now we have not been contacted but we’re still holding out hope as who wouldn’t want a gigantic light bulb on their team? Star Studded Event at the Portland Sea Dogs! 06/10/2010

Mister Sparky and his entourage invaded Hadlock Field on Sunday. He was spotted mixing it up with the crowd in the concourse, eating Sea Dog Biscuits, and lounging in a Skybox while waiting for the game to begin.Ah, the celebrity lifestyle must be nice. He even got the best parking spot in the house right out side the front gates. Mister Sparky was also seen mixing it up with another superstar, Slugger, and making the final changes to the starting lineup in the dugout- sorry Arnie there is a new manager in town… just kidding. He got a chance to have his picture taken with the young lady who sang the national anthem while the color guard presented the stars and strips. I believe I saw him with a tear in his eye during the national anthem, but then again who doesn’t get emotional listening to the national anthem. In case you missed Mister Sparky on Sunday, no worries, as there are rumors he will be making four more appearances throughout the season.

The next appearance from what I have heard is Saturday June 19th , but you know how it is with celebrities! There is also a rumor developing that Joe LePauloue of the famous LePauloue Family is going to be throwing out the first pitch. We will keep you updated as the date draws closer. Summer Time, Summer Time, and Hockey in May 05/12/2010

I was back at Hadlock Field with the Portland Sea Dogs and the Weekend Warm Up Team 96.3 this weekend. The sun was out, and I was soaking up the warmth of a summer-like day! I was so excited to watch batting practice in a tee shirt. The Weekend Warm Up Crew was fabulous as always. This weekend they talked with Jack Edwards from NESN, and Jack discussed the Bruins and what he sees in this playoff team.

We are in round two- Go Bruins! Matt Richards, the Athletic Director at Southern Maine Community College in South Portland, stopped in to talk about the Beach ballpark (yes it is back) and the upcoming United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Tournament May 10-14, 2010. Believe it or not, the OOB ballpark is back. Yes I know I repeated myself but this is big news!

Check out the front page article in Portland Press Herald dated 05/03/10! Great work guys nothing better than bringing back the past.Life is good. Click Here if you would like to see more pictures from the weekend.

“Mister Sparky Has Home Field Advantage” 04/19/2010

What a weekend with Joe, Jeff and Matty of the Weekend Warm Up 96.3 FM!
I just arrived back from Hadlock Field and the old saying, “like a kid in a candy store” comes to mind.We had a great time thanks to Chris Cameron and Brian Murphy of the Sea Dogs, they really gave us the All Star treatment.
We got to talk with Lars Anderson, and Ryan Kalish (highly sought after Red Sox’s prospects) as well as Arnie Beyeler (Manager) - and Mike Antonellis (Radio Broadcaster). From the 4 or 5 hours I spent at the stadium I must say I have not seen a better run organization than the Sea Dogs… besides ours of course (just kidding).
Thanks Joe, Jeff, Matty and everyone at the Sea Dogs. You guys are the best. If you want to see more pictures of the event,  Click here
